Josep M. Julia

Josep M. Julia is the firm’s Chairman. He has been a prominent figure in the financial sector for over two decades.

Before founding Deva, in partnership with Santander, Josep worked for 16 years at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and served as Global Head & CIO of the Distressed Asset Recovery Program (DARP) with investments across the globe spanning Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Prior to joining the IFC, Josep worked for Lehman Brothers Private Equity and prior he co-founded Intelligent Software Components in Madrid, serving as Chief Operating Officer. Josep started his career at Arthur D. Little in Madrid in Corporate Finance.

He holds an MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a BA and an MBA from ESADE in Barcelona.
